Seems the Eishes Lapidus initiative that granted a shadchan compensation for setting up a girl 25 or older to a guy of the same age or younger has been shut down, per their website.
Does anybody have any further details about why this happened, and if it’s permanent?

I could guess why it closed, but it’s probably better to contact them directly.
I assume it is because they ran out of money. I assume you are also not a professional Shadchan, if you know of people that you think would be a match than contact their parents, they will probably pay if it works out probably not as much but at least it something (which is better than nothing).
I would guess for the same reason NASI closed theirs – people abused the system by not paying shadchanim.
I might very well be wrong. Why don’t you ask them?
DY: Didn’t NASI require a prepayment by the girl’s family before shidduchim were redt (so how would they not pay?), or am I mixing it up with another shidduch program?
Two different programs.
Apparently there have been at least three different programs, besides for the general awareness campaign.
I don’t think Rechnitz ran out of money…
OTOH, $10,000 is a lot more than the typical $2-3k total shadchanus so if there was abuse, if it led to many shidduchim, why would they shut it down?
So, on second thought, it probably just wasn’t very successful.
