From the Jersualem Post:
France is drafting a ‘presidential statement’ in order to advance a plan to station international observers at Jerusalem’s Temple Mount to ensure that the status quo at the site is preserved, French daily Le Figaro reported on Saturday, quoting French diplomatic sources.
French Ambassador to the UN Francois Delattre said, at an emergency meeting on Friday of the UN Security Council on the ongoing violence between Israel and the Palestinians, that he would circulate a draft statement to the council that would appeal for calm and restraint and for a revival of the stalled Israeli-Palestinian peace process, and for maintaining the status quo at the Temple Mount.
Therefore, as the Ambassador from LaLaLand to the CR, I would like to propose that we station international monitors throughout the Muslim neighborhoods of France to ensure that the “status quo” is maintained, and that the peace-loving residents are not n any forced by this imperialistic power to actually obey the law.

1) No Issur for French Goyim to be on Har haBayis, unlike for Israeli Jewish soldier, where it is an Issur deOrraisso as per Parshas Poro, to ascend Har haBayis when Tomei. [Apart form being a Goy and not bound by Torah law, a Goy also cannot by definition be Tomei].
2) Better have a French soldier risk their life than a Israeli Jewish Soldier.
3) The Arabs will be less antagonized by a French heathen soldier, than by an Israeli Jewish Soldier.
4) The world shall very quickly see, that even French Goyish soldiers are having an excruciatingly hard time maintaining the peace on the Har haBayis, and Israeli soldiers having to shoot Arabs, is not of our making, but is of the Arabs’ making, as the Franco’s shall also shoot Arabs for their own protection.

Nah, the French would just let the Arabs throw stones down into the Kosel.

During the time of the Bayit Sheni there was even a sign warning gentiles that they could not go past a certain point. In any case, our security is our job. We cannot depend on others.
