What is in essence a modest physical structure, a shed by most standards has become a symbol of defiance for the committed residents of the Shomron community of Beit El, who on Wednesday held a dedication ceremony after the structure was demolished by agents of the Civil Administration.

The agents who tore down the structure on Tuesday were met by many youths, who blocked their paths, leading to a confrontation resulting in 38 injuries, including 8 policemen listed in light and light-to-moderate condition. At least three persons were arrested.
