is it just me, or is everyone else getting sick of the marketung tactic by bartenura, going “addorable” on the new smaller bottle?
I dont ever see a time in my life were i would ever by an “addorable” bottle of wine!
Imagine if johnny walker did that. “Try our new blue labela, in its cute 375 ml bottle, its perfect to put in the carseat in the back of your pickup”
I need to go throw up now. See you all later!

March 15, 2015 1:01 pm at 1:01 pm #1065256JosephParticipantObviously it got your attention and got you talking. So their marketing campaign is a clear success with you.

For starters, its leading “attraction” (that alcohol causes your mind to stop functioning, in a pleasant way) can’t be touted as a feature (imagine an ad: drink my vodka, it will make you act like a fool or knock you out). For Jews its especially a problem since in our culture being intoxicated is viewed quite negatively. On top of that, most good wines are from countries that have a long history of anti-semitism (imagine an ad: buy Italian wine, from the country that destroyed the Beis ha-Mikdash, or perhaps a French wine putting Dreyfus on the label).
So when you come up an effective way of marketing alcohol, be sure to let them know.

March 15, 2015 2:05 pm at 2:05 pm #1065259The FrumguyParticipantOf course it was developed to be placed in shalach manos — hence the smaller size bottle.

March 17, 2015 4:07 pm at 4:07 pm #1065264PosterMemberI heard the blue Bartenura’le goes over very well with non jews as well.
SOmetimes itss more tacky to give that than to give a big bottle of wine.
I think the Bartenura’le is very cute, inexpensive and great idea.

I am not arguing that point. The problem is that calling it “adorable” and adding the “le” at the end is making me barf.
Its probably a great idea

I’ve never seen the 375ml bottle advertised in that market.
March 17, 2015 6:43 pm at 6:43 pm #1065267PosterMemberbarf? why.
Who cares if they make a small bottle.
Who says wine cant be cute? anyways, Who exactly cares how they market it?
If you like the size buy it, if you dont leave it for someone else.
I dont get ur reaction.
