    So there was this thread from four years ago which was closed. It was already closed when I joined the coffee room some three and a half years ago. I understand why it was closed – it was full of invective. I had read through the thread several times over the years (it was a pretty geshmak fight going on there), and it had always been closed. And then I looked at it tonight and it was no longer closed.

    1) Is it possible for a Moderator to unclose a thread? (I assume it is.) yup

    2) Was this thread deliberately unclosed or was there some sort of accident/glitch? It wasn’t me but I can’t imagine it was an accident

    3) I don’t think anyone has realized that it is no longer closed, because there hasn’t been a response in four years (or maybe anyone who noticed it didn’t have anything to say).

    4) I was going to post this in that thread, but I didn’t want to bring that thread up again.

    But what was the point of deleting the post where I just asked what the difference was between an alternate suggestion and an option*? Unless we can’t allow anyone to see that there may have been an intramoderator fight, but then you should have also deleted the post which I was responding to.

    *I’m not referring to the post in which I provided the link; I’m refering to the one that I posted after that.

    I’m curious to know which thread it was. (I can’t imagine it should be a problem to link to, as the mods merely closed it and left it online rather than deleting it altogether.)

    Ok, I’m getting confused here. I asked a kashya on 29, and 100 answered it and then deleted it?

    Apparently so. We’re in different time zones so he reads all the posts first – 29

    Why would the time zone affect who reads it first?

    Unless you mean that he already moved his clock back an hour and you didn’t so he somehow went back in time and preempted you.

    Or maybe I was just being difficult
