A Newburgh man, who worked for a cleaning company, has been charged with breaking into the locked offices of the B’nai Yoel Shul in the Town of Woodbury and stealing about $800 in cash.
State Police at Monroe said Juan Daniel Jimenez, 25, was an office cleaner familiar with the building. An initial canvass of the crime scene and a review of the surveillance system assisted the State Police in identifying Ortiz.
He was arraigned placed on $10,000 bail.
