I just wanted to leave you all with a story and a thought.

Tonight after eating Melave Malka I decided to go to my local shul to sit down and learn some meforshim on the Megillah to have what to say tomorrow at our seudah. I was just hoping that the Bais Medrash would still be open. When I got there to my utter shock the shul was packed to capacity and then some with Avreichim that came to learn until midnight. There was not even one seat to sit down in. There are two side rooms as well and I checked them to see if I could find a spot to sit down. The second room was just as packed. Finally in the last room I found “1” spot available to sit down to learn.

You should know, we are talking about roughly 500 adults sitting and learning with Hasmada Raba! No one shmuzing in the halls. No one needed to be there for those 3 hours. This was not Leil Shavuos where it’s expected. This is 500+ frum men that sat down to learn because of their immense love of Torah! These are the men you want to pull away from the Bais Medrash and throw into an impure army that is not run by holy people.

So I ask you, those of you that walk with your nose held up high lauding the greatness of the MITZVAH GEDOLAH of serving the army as if chazal wrote, ????? ???? ???? ????! Please tell me how many people in your community “RAN” to the Bais Medrash to learn!

Actions cry louder than words? Where were you tonight? Where were your friends? Where was your community?
