Hi I’m going to camp shira, I’m coming from South Africa, so I want to know is there anyone who cld help me??? I’m not sure what tops during the week the girls wear, it says in the dress code collared tops, is that what everyone wears?? Please be specific
June 4, 2013 7:26 pm at 7:26 pm #957203Shopping613 🌠ParticipantI havent been to that camp, but i can tell you the norm.
Juicy Couture – shirts, socks, sweaters
Converse -shoes
Hard tail- shirts and skirts
Junee- EVERYTHING
Sweaters- Spray painted, army type, aeropostale, AE, Holister
Buble skirts, the original junee skirt
Mostly colored tops, NO COLLARS…maybe thats the guidlines for that camp and everyone wears them there, but im writing for most camps -colars are nerdy (no offense
June 4, 2013 9:08 pm at 9:08 pm #957204mitzvahgirl613ParticipantI will help you to the best of my ability!! but 1 question: the dress code says you could wear colored tops? If you could be careful not to wear anything hot pink or a bright red or anything too flashy.
June 4, 2013 9:56 pm at 9:56 pm #957205writersoulParticipantStick with the dress code (if it says collared tops, then regardless of what shopping says, RBING COLLARED TOPS). It will save you a LOT of trouble.
June 4, 2013 10:00 pm at 10:00 pm #957206kkls45MemberI have never been to Shira, but a friend of mine who went there told me that they did have to wear shirts with collars. We went to the mall before that summer, and I remember her getting polos and some tops that had collars from areopostale. I think that most of the girls (especially in the older age groups) end up wearing mostly long black slinky skirts.

June 5, 2013 7:11 pm at 7:11 pm #957213🐵 ⌨ GamanitParticipantIn my camp most girls wore polo tops every day, and button down occasionally. Bright colors were for swim wear, crocs, or accessories.

June 5, 2013 9:59 pm at 9:59 pm #957219fkellyMemberEither button downs or polo shirts. I think the girls wear both.
I know a few people, girls in my school, my cousins..
June 6, 2013 2:57 am at 2:57 am #957220mitzvahgirl613ParticipantFor shabbos in my camp we war both dresses and tops
June 6, 2013 5:15 am at 5:15 am #957221Shopping613 🌠ParticipantBut no robes
June 6, 2013 2:07 pm at 2:07 pm #957222🐵 ⌨ GamanitParticipantIn my camp we wore robes, but changed for the meal. We had one girl that came from Israel, and she came a few days early and went shopping with a girl in the US. Maybe you can find someone to meet up with and shop here. Clothing is probably cheaper here anyhow.
