    Think something nice about the Americans, Brits and even the Russians. If not for them, this year would be the 80th anniversary of the Third Reich being in power.

    And one should remember that the Americans could have stayed neutral (which most Americans favored), and when the Brits were considering moving their capital to Canada they had an opportunity to end the war under very liberal terms (the Germans would not demand reparations and would let Britian keep its empire intact, leaving Germany to enjoy Europe, North Africa and the Middle East) and they decided to keep fighting rather than surrender to a tyrant.

    After the Japs attacked Pearl Harbor on December 7th, 1941, there was no way to stay neutral and most Americans didn’t want to stay neutral.

    Also remember that Germany declared war on the U.S. first.
