Turkish PM Doesn’t Consider Hamas Terrorist Group, Tells Israel ‘Lo Tirtzach’

While continuing his harsh accusations against Israel over its deadly raid on an aid flotilla, the Turkish prime minister said he does not see Hamas as a terrorist organization, but as a resisting group struggling for its own land.

“They [Hamas] won the election. You are always talking about democracy. You’ll never let Hamas rule. What kind of democracy is this?” Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdoğan said Friday at a rally held in Konya, a central Anatolian province. He addressed thousands of people gathered at the rally with very strong anti-Israel sentiments.

“I do not think that Hamas is a terrorist organization. I said the same thing to the United States. I am still of the same opinion. They are Palestinians in resistance, fighting for their own land,” he stated. Hamas is recognized as a terrorist organization by the U.S.

Criticizing the Turkish media for its critical coverage on Turkey’s pro-Hamas stance, Erdoğan said, “These columnists will report my words of today as well. We know their past, their background.”

Repeating his harsh words against the Israeli government over Monday’s incident, the prime minister recalled that one of the orders of the Ten Commandments prohibits Jews from killing. “If you do not understand it in Turkish I will say it in English: You shall not kill,” he said. He also said the same phrase in Hebrew.

“They even slaughtered 19-year-old Furkan. They did not even care for the babies in the cradle,” Erdoğan said.

  1. If he’s such a lamden does he also know what the din is with regards to a rodeph? Or was he absent that day in school?

  2. From the way the facts of this particular have been reported, Mr. Erdogan missed out on the part that the Israeli soldiers were attacked first. That gives them the absolute right to strike back at their attackers to save themselves from bodily harm.

It does seem that these “peace” “activists” headed into a war zone expecting to be treated like civilians while preparing to battle with military personnel like guerilla warriors. Well, if you engage a soldier in battle…even IDF soldiers who are commanded to turn the other cheek and out-Christian their counterparts of Christian countries…it won’t be pretty.

It is pretty breathtaking how the world is so quick to condemn these officers who came in with paintball guns instead of with assault rifles, when any other country in a similar position would undoubtedly have murdered (there’s the lo tirtzach) everyone who dared lift a pinky at them, if not outright sink the ship and its “activists”.

  3. The Turks???? Does the Armenian genocide ring a bell? The turks brutally and systematically murdered almost 1.5 million Armenians and they come and tell us “Lo tirzoch”.

Even closer to nowadays why don’t they give the Turkish kurds part of Turkey?? What do they do when the kurds say we want our own land? They just murder them.. Aren’t they like Hamas????
