I know this will sound crazy, but in reality, this isn’t so far up from happening all the time.
I was on the seven bus to ramat rachel and right by Esther Hamalka/ superpharm area, there was a KID who was dressed like a terrorist, ya know, with the black thing on his head, an orange thing tied around his head, that only showed his eyes, and a toy sword, that was being whacked at a pole. Naturally there was a dati leumi boy who was right in between the poles (the poles were there to support a traffic sign (not a light…), and the kid just walked away. The bus pulled away before I could see any more of that scene.
After seeing that scene, my heart just ached, and I wondered why we can’t just all get along. The jewish kid did not do anything wrong. And the terrorist kid just had a toy sword, but I don’t think this was an Adar- type costume.
What do you think?
OMG what were these parents thinking?! Are you sure that was a jewish kid?? I have a hard time beleiving it was.
If he WAS jewish,
1) It’s not Purim yet, so that costume is totally unnecessary
2) that costume is also totally unnecessary, tasteless and a stupid STUPID DUMB choice
3) In Israel, of all places, that costume is totally unnecessary, tasteless and a stupid choice.
did I mention tasteless?
If he meant to look like Hamas or whatever, then I think it was incredibly tasteless. If he was a Ninja, nu nu? I remember when we only dressed up as Esther, Mordechai, Achashverush or Haman (Y”Z) for Purim.
