New at misrad hapnim in Israel, that any child born to non Israeli citizens in Israel when receiving the child’s birth certificate will see that they will no longer put any of the fathers details on the birth certificate. They will put the last name (surname) of the child whatever the mothers passport says and the first names of the mother. The fathers name will be non existent irrespective of original marriage certificates from Israel or abroad. This basically means that unless this is dealt with, the avreichim learning in israel that come from anywhere overseas will struggle in passing over citizenship to their children through the fathers citizenship as he will not be mentioned on the birth certificate.

Any one got any ideas how to solve this?

Or who can contact an Askan to help out?

This sounds like a common enough problem that you could inquire with a simple phone call to a lawyer or even an online legal forum/discussion board.

They should ask their embassy/consulate what to do. For getting a non-Israeli citizenship, what matters is whether the foreign government recognizes the marriage and relationship. What the Israeli government thinks of such matters is irrelevant.

akuperma: Nowadays the goyim almost as often have kids outside a relationship. So who the father is typically isn’t contingent on marriage, and the authorities usually recognize that.
