In case you are not familiar, The Yeshiva and Seminary Students Guide is a great “free” guide that helps Yeshiva and Seminary Students get acclimated to their year in Israel. It is also a valuable tool for visitors to Israel as it includes tremendous amounts of information about Israel including touring ideas, restaurant listings etc. We are always looking for ways to make students lives easier.
Do you have any ideas that would help students spending a year (or more) in Israel?

How about an article teaching seminary girls how to behave as shabbos guests.
They are getting worse with the years!
I read your seminary guide when I was in seminary. You list a very sarcastic way of asking yourself out for Shabbos. My suggestion is that you write an accurate way to ask yourself out. And one in Hebrew would be helpful, too.
There’s a great article in in ami saying that seminaries should provide their students with shabbos on premises. I happen to very strongly agree with that idea.
Better yet, they should go home for Shabbos.
Good idea! They’ll spend so much time in the air they’ll never be in seminary…
Who said anything about flying?
I was under the impression that the seminary guide is for American girls going to seminaries in Israel. I’m assuming you don’t think they should go in the first place, which I cannot say I disagree with.
I won’t make a generalization; I think some can gain from it. I don’t like that going overseas is the default.
The idea of girls running around to random homes, for example, their roommate’s third cousin, for Shabbos, does bother me, as well as the fact that the already skimpy piece of chicken has to be divided into that many more parts.
I wasn’t referring to the guide, I was referring to your reference to the Ami article.

The amu article is talking about girls who are overseas . How are they going homefor shabbos?
By not going overseas to begin with.
Overseas seminary is more often a junket than anything else.
@yeshivasem – are you involved in the production of the guide? i remember seeing it a couple years ago during the production. was very impressed
