Hello Everybody! I am planning on starting a CRCW (coffee room color war). The mods can help out as judges, as I also shall be. If anyone wants to sign up as a judge please respond. The categories are trivia (no looking it up please), facts about the coffee room, and many more (once I think of them :), So…. The three teams are….

Well seeming that yekke2 Still Even Doesnt take a hint, and unfortunatly is Slow Entering Data as to who made those jokes.[nuff said?]

This is an interesting concept…I do love lattes, but I would do very poorly on trivia that was related to Jewish scholarship (seeing as how I am just coming to Orthodoxy)…on the other hand, I may be a resource in the areas of classical music, the law, and animals (especially cats)…would any team want a member with such a patchy and quirky knowledge base? If so, I may be the woman for the job! 🙂

So whos gonna ask the first q? Do we have a judge? Are we waiting for more players
Do they have to all be trivia questions? I’m not good at trivia, but I’m good at logic games/puzzles.
It seems that the game is taking forever to start so I will make the rules clear and ask the first question.
Rule 1) There is no judge
2) Each team in turn asks the other two teams a question
3) First team to answer gets a point
4) The topic for all qs is CR trivia (this seems the most reasonable, since any other topic would be unfair to some players)(I’m considering limiting it down to this forum since some of us don’t post on the “Recipes” or “Bais Medrash” etc. forums)
5) Order of asking is Blue, Red, Green.
6) All q’s must be asked between 6-7 o’clock so that everyone will know when to expect a Q and have an opportunity to answer first
7) New players are always welcome but they must first declare themseves and the team they wish to join.
8) A new player should join the team with the least players.
9) Blue- Wisey, Aurora
Red- Blueprints, Crdle
Green- Heilige, Frummy
Oh I forgot to say that if a question goes unanswered for a day it gets replaced

I think it may have been Feif Un who began an advice column first — I just checked the initial posts in Popa’s thread, and I read Feif Un’s advice thread a while back.
However, Wisey did ask “who began an advice column,” rather than asking who began one first, so perhaps either Popa or Feif Un is the correct answer. Or, if Wisey was looking for an answer that included everyone who started an advice column, then maybe the correct answer is Popa and Feif Un (anyone else too of whom I may not be aware?).
Wisey, can you enlighten us please? 🙂
Whoops, I forgot that Wisey was my teammate (sorry Wisey!), so maybe I should not have tried to answer — that was why I didn’t say ZeesKite as an answer to the first question from Wisey. Yikes! 🙁
Aurora- I didn’t know that Feif Un also started an advice column. I guess I should investigate more before asking a question. Try to answer Heilige’s question before team red, because I don’t know what Yossi is.

Can we get this started again? it would be the best way to get us out of this late-summer coffee room snooze-a-thon. I think we should have a 3 day colour war starting on Sunday, with the days in between dedicated to discussing logistics such as teams, judges , colours, and activities / contests. I think there should be a fun side to it as well as a yedios /torah side of it. who’s in?
