Right now this is my biggest spiritual wish in and out of the CR:
For people to learn that when defending Hashems Torah, you are STILL obligated to respect Hashem’s children.
When you defend words that you interpret as anti-Torah ( sometimes correctly and sometimes not) you still have a Halachik obligation to attack the words and posts without destroying the person. Your behavior should not be more anti-Torah than their words were.

There’s therapy for internet addiction. If you have a problem with certain websites download Bluecoat k9 and put a block on those websites and have someone else hold the passwords. You will be protected that way and reclaim some of your sanity. That is if you truly want to change and be helped.

Asking someone who has something does not constitute Teffila.
Another important point is that Rav Shrira Gaon says that there are many things that are in the hands of Malachim, and you are allowed to ask them for it. (Caution: Don’t Daven to them. Ask a Rav experienced in these matters — and send me his number — for more details.)
