Hamas Prevents Humanitarian Aid from Entering Gaza

Hamas officials in Gaza are not permitting the humanitarian cargo onboard the Gaza flotilla from entering. Most of the cargo has been loaded onto trucks in Ashdod, and Israel’s IDF Liaison Office has been in touch with international relief organizations towards having the cargo brought into Gaza, but Hamas say “no”.

Hamas Minister Ahmed el-Khurd announced “we refuse to accept the humanitarian aid until all the detainees from the flotilla are released by Israel and returned home”. He also called on the Egyptians to leave the Rafiach Crossing open for good after Cairo ordered the passage between Gaza and Sinai opened temporarily.
