    The issue is how to pronounce the “A”, and it varies based on dialect.

    Depends if you are using as a noun or verb.

    When used in rational, I believe it is pronounced as rash-in-ul. However, when used in ration, it is pronounced as ray-shun.

    dictionary.com says “[rash-uhn, rey-shuhn]” (both)

    Any other opinions? Showjoe the problem with dictionary.com is that I couldnt find when to use each one a.k.a either rash-uhn or rey-shuhn!
