Has anyone ever bought an esrog online?
The guy i used to buy from for the past 12 years moved out of town, so I feel kinda stuck. A friend of mine told me that he bought one online and was very happy. Any recomendations?
In most frum communities there are plenty of places to buy a good Kosher set. Buying online is not the way to go about such a chashuv mitzvah. Mitzvos are not about doing them as conveniently and quickly as possible without it taking too much time from our schedule…
It says in Shulchon Aruch (I believe its actually in the nosei keilim) that people dont do Aveiros between Yom Kippur and Succos because they are too busy building Succahs and buying Arba Minim. I guess they had a different paradigm.
Would you buy a car online and trust the salesman without seeing the car for yourself???
If not, get in the car and find yourself a new esrog dealer.
my father bought a set online last year just to see what it would be like. he got a whole set for like 35 dollars that was totally kosher-even can say it was mehudar. was cheap and nice-great to use!
