So I told you all my woeful saga of my oven dying two days before yom tov. The PS to that was that late erev Shabbos I had a pipe burst in my kitchen sink, flooding my kitchen floor with all the shmutz from the pots and pans that I had just washed. I could not reach a plumber, so I duct-taped the pipe really well. Then a pot in which I had just made rice, gave me a nice steam burn on my wrist, when I went to check on the progress of the rice. To add insult to injury, we set up our central A/C (one floor of the house is covered)for Shabbos and yom tov, and it didn’t work. After an excruciatingly hot few days with no A/C or fans, no sleep, no energy, and LOTS of company that I had invited in spite of having no oven (my neighbor allowed me the gracious use of her oven all day Thursday), we called a friend of my son (a really smart and talented young man), and he mentioned that maybe the circuit breaker to the A/C was off. Circuit breaker??? Who knew there even WAS one? It certainly was not with our regular circuit breakers. Sure enough, my son went outside, as per his friend’s instructions, found a switch next to the compressor, flipped it, and “vayehi ohr” it worked!!! I believe in “lifum tz’arah agra,” so hopefully, Hashem has something really great waiting for us!!!!!
Hope y’all had a beautiful and meaningful chag.

BRAVO!

Listen, it was uncomfortable, harder to prepare for than Pesach EVER was, but we got through it, I enjoyed having my company every day, even got invited out for one meal, and went to some beautiful shiurim (one given by my son), and had some terrific (pareve) cheesecake. What could be bad, in the end?

Also my TMJ was driving me nuts as I mentioned in another thread that I started.
Otherwise Yom Tov was wonderful B”H.
