An El Al flight from France to Israel – with 350 passengers aboard – was involved in an accident on the runway in Paris this morning. According to the initial investigation, it appears that the plane collided with a vehicle on the runway. B”H there were no injuries, and El Al technicians were attempting to repair the damage.
The Boeing 747, was scheduled for take off at 1:00PM from Charles De Gaulle Airport, and the tow truck arrived in order to lead the plane towards the runway. As the truck approached the plane, a loud crash was heard coming from one of the wings.

now lets see if this plane takes off on shabbos
An el al plane was involved in an incident, not an el al flight.
As it did not yet leave the gate.
And the vehicle hit the plane not ” el al plane hits vehicle”.
One word can change a story.
PS Good stuff usually.
the plane will not take off. it will take off only on motsae shabbes
Where ever this story came from, it is a stira minay u’bay! As Baal pointed out, this plane was not hit on the “runway” as the story first mentions. Had that ACTUALLY happened, this could have CHV been a disaster.
As the story mentions in the second paragraph, it was hit at the gate where there was limited danger – unless of course the crash damaged a fuel line.
