So i answer the phone at the office today and i say hello and no one answers but i hear voices i say hello again loudly and no one hears me but i hear them perfectly how does this happen?
Anyways i was bored so i listened in a little bit nothing too entertaining it seemed to be a frum place of business but there were kids around too, i know its not very nice but really what is the harm?.

I’d say either a pocket dial or your phone was on mute.
Jothar, as the Founding Member of CR Shomrim, and all other badges, pins and stripes you wear, I would think you’re duty bound to investigate this matter. I suspect spying, snooping, stalking. Stalkers are known to do that type of thing. They’re known to make accidental calls. How about doing an FCC trace of that call. Maybe it’s one of our local stalkers, calling all numbers automatically, to try to get a CR poster. This is something very serious (pity you can’t see me plotzing!)

My mother used to have one of those touch-phones where you can put numbers for auto-dialing, so she put the doctor on speed dial, but she took it off because the he was getting like six personal calls a day to hear the washing machine or similiar sounds…. 🙂

This once happened to me but I was the one who dialed. I redialed someone who had just called me by mistake and then (ahhhh, i’m still embarrassed) I said something mean about her. I felt so bad bec me and my friend talked abt her for like 3 minutes until she hung up. That really taught me not to speak Lashon Hara.
I was just continuing a conversation I left off seven months ago with someone, while I was absentmindedly dialing you. Or maybe I was having an absentminded conversation while dialing you. Or maybe I absented my mind entirely. IT’S HOT TODAY!!
So what are their weekend plans?
That was me Goq, it was my way of bumping this thread.
Goq, do you recognize the number that called you? I know that if I press too hard on some of the buttons on my phone it will easily dial the last # that I had called, the first contact on my list or one of my speed dials that have a special screen. I’ll pick up the phone and see that I’m in the middle of a call. Oops! Did you ever try calling them back? I know that one of my neighbor’s kids will often press redial on their phone and I’ll get a call but no mommy is talking. I often wonder how long their phone will be off the hook.
So goq, are you joining me for dinner and a movie tonight? (We’ll pre-pay before Shabbos for the movie)
Actually Shabbos doesn’t start until 8:30 so we’ll do the movie before shkia, I’ll meet you and Superman in front of the movie theatre at 6:30.
