I didn’t see it, but I lost respect for Cain. I didn’t back him to begin with because I believe a President should pay his dues in the trenches. If you have no experience in the political arena and no history or record that people can check on in regard to how you helped your constituency, then you have no business expecting Americans to trust you and vote for you. We learned a great deal from the fiasco that is the current presidency.

I didn’t watch it, however I am still with Cain, since these allegations have not been proven and as of now they mean nothing at all.
Regarding the point that Aries mentioned, to me, a businessman Cain is the the BEST solution! For the reason you mentioned. We had enough of politicians. They work only for votes, don’t really understand how to bring back the times when America was actually a country that manufactured things.
Cain does, he understands that the private sector is what made American jobs. He shares my beliefs and ideas with the economy.
I sure hope he wins!

2cents, like Bloomberg? Yeah he did a great jobs closing hospitals, fire houses and police stations. Everyone in NY is just so happy and chipper with the way he is running things. The cops are the most corrupt they have ever been, the sanitation department stinks, and the city is run like it has no leader. Is that what you want for the entire country? Not me.
I did not see it but personally I do not understand why Gingrich is not popular. He is easily the most intelligent, he is very personable, he does not resort to attacking his fellow candidates, and has a very good sense of humor. I happen to like Cain as well, and these recent allegations urge me to send him a check not change my opinion of him. I think Gingrich is not getting as much attention as he deserves.
Why are you comparing Bloomberg to Cain?
Because they are both businessmen?!
I still think that my points are valid, this is besides the fact that he is straight forward. Unlike other political candidates.
It’s the politicians that opened the door for China. Lifting the quotas, punishing the factories and taxing the factories.
How can we compete with China if we are being limited??
Cain knows that, for some reasons other politicians don’t. It’s not only about temporary tax breaks, there is a deeper problem here.
It was sort of staged between them.
Gingrich is a relic from the past with a really messed up personal history even if he says he’s repented.
The charges against Cain may be racist propaganda. So far he’s only been accused of flirting and being rude, but not of adultery or the like.
I don’t have any opinion on Cain, but I agree with 2scents on one point – the career politician-types, by virtue of being politicians, are most likely to change their agendas to suit themselves. No matter how little/much experience they have under their belts.
Cain has been pretty consistent with his stance on the burning issues, this is what got him popular.
I still remember one of the early debates in which the candidates have been asked if they would or would not show the photos of the dead Osama.
all of them answered that they would, however it was clear that this is not THEIR position, rather what something that is popular.
Cain was the only one to answer NO. he said it without a blink shot it straight out.
he is a straight shooter, and knows what he believes in. and it so happens to be that on most issues he is on the right side.
