NYPD conducts raid & discovers weapons cache


esu truck.jpgEarly Wednesday morning in the quiet residential neighborhood of Flatbush, the NYPD acted on a search warrant and arrested two people, discovered four handguns, an AK-47, boxes of ammunition, a small amount of marijuana and a mortar shell at an apartment in 2281 Ocean Parkway. The house had been a suspected drug house.

BNN reported at 2:36AM, that the NYPD called a “Level 1 Mobilization” in regards to the explosive device found at the location. The bomb squad was called to respond as well. Police evacuated four buildings in the area of the building as a precaution, and the found shell was transported by the bomb squad to Rodman’s Neck.

According to officials, Christopher Ocera, 42, a resident of the house, was arrested and charged with criminal sale of marijuana and resisting arrest. Also arrested was Danny Dispigno, 28, of E. 7th Street in Brooklyn. He was charged with assault, criminal possession of marijuana and resisting arrest.
