My employer has a few openings, so if anyone is looking for a job and you fit one of these, I’m sure the mods can work out an email exchange for us! The company is located in Central NJ.
Here are the openings, with some detail on each (copied from our internal job board):
Programmer – a few years experience with programming knowledge in ASP.NET using C#, HTML, CSS, Javascript, AJAX, and Stored Procedures.
Underwriting Assistant (2 positions available) – The ideal candidates must have 2 to 3 years of experience as a commercial UA, or other relevant commercial insurance experience, as well as a good working knowledge of industry terms. Experience in environmental a plus.
Mods, if someone does respond asking to contact me, please post it here, as I don’t often check the email associated with my account. If I see a post, I will check the email.

September 22, 2011 1:59 pm at 1:59 pm #997664adorableParticipantare any of the jobs able to be done from oversees. Im moving but would love to work for an american company from there.
September 22, 2011 2:05 pm at 2:05 pm #997665Feif UnParticipantSorry, adorable, but no. They’re all in-office positions.
September 22, 2011 2:22 pm at 2:22 pm #997666shmoelMemberYou’re a programmer, adorable?
September 22, 2011 3:18 pm at 3:18 pm #997667NechomahParticipantAdorable, if you have good typing skills, you can do medical transcription here in EY for an American company in Lakewood. If you’re interested, put a post and I’ll try to let you know more details.
Oh wait, you said somewhere that you’re not going to have internet when you move. How will you work for an American company?
September 22, 2011 4:08 pm at 4:08 pm #997668real-briskerMemberAdorable – Your chosson is from overseas?
September 22, 2011 4:31 pm at 4:31 pm #997669Moshe12ParticipantI know of someone in that area that is looking for a programing job. He has limited experience so that might be an issue. If they would consider it anyway please contact me.
September 22, 2011 4:49 pm at 4:49 pm #997670adorableParticipantI am not a computer programmer. I would have internet if I have a job that would require it but I wont be sitting here bored in front of the CR when Im married. thats what I meant.
real-brisker- no he’s from the US but we are moving really far!
September 22, 2011 4:57 pm at 4:57 pm #997672former nyerMemberNechomah, I am new to the coffee room, and am living in EY and if it would be possible to get the info regarding the transcriptionist jobs from the company in Lakewood, it would be much appreciated. I worked billing insurance companies in a hospital setting for many years and know the “lingo”. Maybe the info could be forwarded to me thru the moderators. Tizku lamitzvot, todaah
September 22, 2011 5:09 pm at 5:09 pm #997673ToiParticipantAny jobs transcibing in EY are usually a scam to get someone else a ton of money and get you pennies. watch out.
September 22, 2011 5:21 pm at 5:21 pm #997674Feif UnParticipantMoshe12, they might consider it. Mods, can you facilitate getting a resume from Moshe12 to me?
Thanks!
September 22, 2011 5:21 pm at 5:21 pm #997675LAmorahMemberwould like contact info please
September 22, 2011 5:39 pm at 5:39 pm #997676Feif UnParticipantMods, I assume you can get a resume from a poster and forward it to my email address? Can you post the email address someone should send it to so you get it?
If someone is interested, please mention which spot it is, the programmer or the underwriter.
September 22, 2011 6:10 pm at 6:10 pm #997677metrodriverMemberAdorable; The answer to your question (In addition to Feif un’s answer.) Unless it’s India (where most American credit card, ISP and phone company jobs are located, anyway.) If you are willing to pay overseas phone charges, you might be considered for the job.
September 22, 2011 6:18 pm at 6:18 pm #997678NechomahParticipantToi, I’m sorry, but I don’t think that comment is at all accurate. I have been fortunate to work for an American company that was set up specifically to employ American women in EY (and also America) in a respectable job that has the potential for good pay, depending on the skills of the woman and the amount of time she has available to work. I don’t see the jobs that are advertised on secular job boards advertising pay at much better wages.
September 22, 2011 6:19 pm at 6:19 pm #997679NechomahParticipantMods, can you help me figure out how to get info on transcribing work to people who are interested. I’m not sure that the company wants me to publicize their info on the CR.
September 23, 2011 2:58 pm at 2:58 pm #997680Moshe12ParticipantI hope this can be posted as I would like to get you (Feif Un) the resume. I created an e-mail for this and will erase it when we are done. Its [email protected]
September 23, 2011 3:14 pm at 3:14 pm #997681Feif UnParticipantI have an anonymous email – [email protected]
I’m sorry, I thought the mods had a way to put us in touch. I guess I was wrong. You can send me the resume, and I will try to submit it on Monday (I can’t access Gmail at work, so I can’t do it today).
September 27, 2011 6:09 pm at 6:09 pm #997682Feif UnParticipantTo anyone who sent me a resume (and you know who you are!), I passed them along to the HR person in charge of recruiting. She told me that she will pass them on to the appropriate hiring managers.
This is much easier than sending out emails!
September 28, 2011 4:46 am at 4:46 am #997683newbieMemberNechomah, could you provide an email address or something? I’d be interested in such a job…

March 25, 2012 4:51 pm at 4:51 pm #997686Feif UnParticipantI posted job listings at my employer here because I was trying to help people out. I posted the exact positions that were available, with the exact qualifications they are looking for.
Both times, instead of getting responses for these positions, I just get some random resumes that have nothing to do with the positions listed. Honestly, there is nothing I can do with such a resume. If they’re looking for an insurance underwriter with 5 years of experience, please don’t send me a resume if you’re fresh out of college with a degree in finance!
Because of this, I don’t think I will post job openings at my employer anymore. I’ve gotten one serious resume (which I passed along), and the first time I even passed along some others that didn’t fit what they were looking for – just in case. I caught some flack for that. This past time, I didn’t get a single serious reply! Only people who were completely unsuited for the positions listed. No more.
March 25, 2012 5:02 pm at 5:02 pm #997687popa_bar_abbaParticipantI think it was very nice of you to post them. And I sympathize with your frustration on the responses.
At the same time, if I was looking for a job I would also be spamming every lead I had. So I sympathize with your spammers as well.
Sorry. And thank you.
March 25, 2012 5:09 pm at 5:09 pm #997688avhabenParticipantHow does anyone send you a resume?
March 25, 2012 5:20 pm at 5:20 pm #997689yitayningwutParticipantavhaben – look up ^
Feif – I echo what popa is said, though I would add that if you want to help but want less spam then maybe a good idea would be to notify PCS in Lakewood of exactly what your company is looking for (since you said it’s located in central Jersey), and they’ll send over the resumes of people who are qualified and need jobs.
May 20, 2013 1:43 pm at 1:43 pm #997690DaMosheParticipantMy company has an opening for an entry-level actuary. If you’re interested, you can send an email to Feif Un, and he can pass it along (we work for the same place).
