This past Sunday night, they called the whole Syrian community in Deal, and brooklyn to come to Monmouth university to pray mincha and Arvit together before Tisha b”AV!-first time ever! .. the whole community did not show up but many did!:D a lot more than 3,000 ppl were there! i hope we made a difference in Hashem’s eyes!!
i was there. it was over 3k people. it was tehillim, selichot and mincha and arbit. There was also a special message for this event from Chacham Ovadia Yosef and Chief Rabbi’s of Israel Sephardim and Ashkenazim. it was a special event.
I was not. Its very impressive, but 3000 ppl is hardly a news item in the chassidishe velt. We can almost that many for a regular tish, and as many as 5,000 for big ticket events like chassenehs, hakoffos, hafganas (ok, that was a wisecrack, but you get the idea)
