I am starting this thread in responce to a lecture that I heared this morning on TorahAnytime.com. The lecture was by Rabbi Yerachmiel Milstein, and was titled “Taking Responsibility”
What can we do to fight anti-semitism and radical Islam?
Being that we are all Jews here, and Jews are supposed to be very intelligent, I am sure if we all put our heads together we can come up with some form of action. (it is possible that we may not be successful, but i cant stand the thought of doing nothing!)
So, any ideas people?

The same thing we’ve done for thousand years fighting radical Christianity and anti-semitism.
We’re in galus. We’re not allowed to revolt against the goyim. All we can do is daven and better ourselves so that moshiach should come.
It’s funny because antisemitism has historically been the glue that held Jewish communities together. When we were collectively hated and kicked out of countries, we had to stick together in order to survive. Ever since we’ve been accepted by the wider world, assimilation and intermarriage has skyrocketed.
Nevertheless, negative thoughts about Jews come from preconceptions and stereotypes about us which can mostly be combated with efforts to continuously make a Kiddish Hashem. Only in this way will non-Jews come to see that what the negative beliefs they have about us might not be true.

So, we should be like sheep to the slaughter?
No. We should prevent anti-seimitism by making a kiddush Hashem by following the laws of the country and show that we are loyal and grateful to our malchus shel chessed.
And of course, use our powerful weapon: tefilla.

And of course, that’s on top of all his zechuyos from mitzvos, learning, etc.

Traditionally that’s what we’ve often done when in trouble. When some anti-semite came to do us harm, we’d pull out our wallet say “Hey, Chris, here’s some gelt, go enjoy a few beers at the bar.” He would forget that stick he came to beat us with and run off for greener pastures.
Regarding anti-Semitism, try not to give them what to talk about. It won’t really help, but that’s what is in our hands. Otherwise, let’s do Teshuva, bring Moshiach, have the Beis Hamikdash built, and there won’t be anything left of the trouble.
