    I heard this piece from the Rambam several years ago in a shiur. He talks about the reasons for the many brachos that we have, and other mitzvos. Something to do with remembering about HaShem constantly, i think.

    Do you know the location of this piece?

    The Rambam at the end of Hilchos Mezuzah says something along those lines about why we have mezuzahs. Was always my favorite Rambam.

    The Rambam you’re referring to though is in Hilchos Brachos, Perek Aleph Halacha Daled

    The one i just mentioned is at the end of Hilchos Sefer Torah (Mezuzah) Perek Vav
