I’ll start. I just had my breakfast. My refrigerator and freezer are stuffed with things to eat. My airconditioner works very well. I’m living like a King. If I were to ask people who were my age 100 years ago they would agree.
Let’s give thanks to Hashem for everything He has given to us. The Three Weeks are about to start. We should really think about what’s going on inside of us and how we really feel about what Hashem has thrown our way.
We are the Jewish people. Let’s be happy. Let’s be grateful.

July 18, 2011 8:51 pm at 8:51 pm #996206wanderingchanaParticipantFor the last week I’ve sat on the edge of my 8 year old son’s bed late at night, watching him sleep and thanking Hashem for letting me be his mother one more day.
In the morning I wake up groggy but grateful to have my little boy another day, and then I take him to his camp, in a yeshiva, and pray to Hashem that he is safe, well cared for, and happy.
Every afternoon I pick him up, relieved to have him back safe. Last night we told him again how grateful we are to Hashem to have been blessed with our little mentch. He’s starting to look embarrassed when we say this. We tell him we’re grateful not just for him, but for the whole family. He still doesn’t know why we’re saying this, and squirms away.
I don’t want to take away his innocence. I also don’t want someone taking it away from him.
Please, Hashem, give me the strength to say what I don’t want to say, but need to say, in order for him to protect himself when I can’t be there for him.
Please, Hashem, let me always be there for him when he needs me to be…
July 18, 2011 8:57 pm at 8:57 pm #996207on the ballParticipantLSH – no need to look round at your mod-cons to have these feelings. Take a breath of air. Thousands of miracles took place to allow the oxygen in it to reach your cells and nourish them.

July 21, 2011 10:59 pm at 10:59 pm #996212minyan galMemberI am grateful that I was able to sponsor a kiddush at my shul this morning to celebrate TEN years since I had a cardiac arrest. It was a celebration of life and the entire minyan stayed to celebrate with me – usually someone is in a rush and leaves right after the service, but not today.

July 22, 2011 1:00 am at 1:00 am #996214aries2756ParticipantI have 2 arms and 2 legs. I can walk on my own and can take care of myself. July 22, 2011 2:47 pm at 2:47 pm #996217LSHParticipantEspecially today, let’s be thankful for our air conditioners. And let’s be grateful that they don’t turn off on Shabbos.
July 4, 2012 2:48 pm at 2:48 pm #996218SayIDidIt™ParticipantLet’s be thankful that Hashem gave us a Medina Shel Chessed! But don’t stop there! After Yehuda was born, Leah stopped having children because she didn’t ask for more! America, as good as it is, is not home. And neither is today’s Eretz Yisroel! Don’t stop asking Hashem to take us home!!! May it happen right now!!

Well, why wouldn’t he? And how does “he” do it quickly? It’s the Sofer that can write quickly, nothing to do with the husband.
Does he give child support also?
July 6, 2012 4:20 am at 4:20 am #996225bh18ParticipantHealth, meaning that as soon as the rav said do/give the get, he said he would be available the following Sunday “as long as its quick”. And another bH, he gives child support to the penny and other than the reuqired hour visit, he is not involved with my sons care so bH for my older one who is and for family and friends who are as well.
You could read about my younger ones (and the family’s blessings) on page 56 in the latest country yossi magazine.

Jeeze, only an hour? What did HE do to only get such a short time?
You don’t have to answer this, if you don’t want to. I get much more time.
“You could read about my younger ones (and the family’s blessings) on page 56 in the latest country yossi magazine.”
Why would I want to? Do I get a prize if I do?
July 6, 2012 1:30 pm at 1:30 pm #996227BTGuyParticipantThere are countless things to be grateful for, BH. But one thing stands out in particular as of late. I find myself saying at random times, when certain thoughts come to mind, “Shelo asani goy”!
