Do you feel that there are more or less folks going away to the country this summer than in previous ones?

couple of years ago I gave someone a ride to the mountains. He kept asking me which country I go to. After a dozen times I finally realized what he meant after he told me what country he was headed to 🙂

monticello—land of walmart for melava malka

Even the ODA joins folks in the mountains so they no longer have to travel in(to the city) for services. The people get free pick up too!

No, we don’t fall into that category ,we help pay for services(with our taxes)… we go upstate because our family “work” travels upstate too, so we women have to join ,some of whom would prefer to remain in the city…. but gam zoo l’tova! All in all the daycamps here in the city are full B”H and so are the mountains. Therefore, to sum it up it’s Yidden here, Yidden there and B”H for all us Yidden everywhere!!!

No. Not Nachlei Emunah or any other pronunciation of it. And no. We don’t participate in Melave Malka’s in Walmart, stores, bowling etc. B”H we’re in a nice Torah’dig edele, heimishe surrounding. Really nice people.

Oh, come now. Tell me you’ve never gone to grab a pizza or ice cream in your housecoat and slippers (not crocs.. the slippers with the wedge heel).

And down the road.. a Florida turban to complete the outfit!

Too bad, its loads of fun.

I’ll wave to you as I zip up the Palisades. Better yet, if I decide to go hiking in Harriman, I’ll stop by and say hello!

    “No. We don’t”

So let me get this straight; no walmart, no pizza at 2:00am, no bowling..

What DO you folks do? I know there are places in Swan Lake and down the 42, where the highlight of the day is the dryer cycle finishing, but there is no way I could see an active CR member being satisfied with that.

Unless you’re the one on the waterskis tearing up the water in White Lake.
