I am watching his press conference he admits to lying about someone hacking into his twitter account, he admits there may be several lewd pictures of him, he is apologizing profusely but it is too little to late, this clown has no right to hold the title of U.S. Congressman he has got to go, just saying you accept responsibility is not enough hes got to step down.
He should never have been put in elected office in the first place. That being said, he’ll probably have no problem staying in Congress, but his New York Mayoral ambitions have just gone into the ash-heap.
There is no love lost between Anthony Weiner and myself, but Clinton’s indiscretions where far worse and he didnt go anywhere.
He was very good for Israel and its a shame he will have to go.

Why must he go? Because he did a bad personal thing? So what. If his politics are sound, keep him. If not, that’s a reason to fire him.

For the record, I have no clue where his policies stand. But his personal life is of no concern at all. If anyone should call for his outster, it should be his wife. Not the public.
Its a matter of time before he resigns. The lack of support he is (and has been) getting from the democratic leadership of the house speaks volumes about what they think. Where is chuck schumer, who just last week said he is sure that this is a breitbart smear campaign against his protege? Schumer has never met a microphone he didnt like. Where is he now? Why doesnt he say anything?
Why should he resign? He did nothing illegal and he has always been good to his constituents and to Israel. It was inappropriate, but has no bearing on his legislative duties.

You are missing the point. What if some nefarious people got a hold of this and blackmailed him? What if that was already done. These things compromise our congressmen. This is the stuff Hollywood blockbusters are made of. It also means that he is a LIAR. If he lies about this what else would he lie about?
Weiner’s mother IS Jewish. This fact has been covered by YWN. Don’t blame the poor mother for her wayward son.
Why should he resign? Because he is a lying, m’nuval, sleeze, and an embarrassment to the people he represents. Anyone elected to office from these heavily Jewish districts will have to be “good for Israel”
He will have to resign if he gets pressure from the democratic leadership. If they feel he will be a drag come next election, they will push him to resign, if not, the ethics probe will be little more than a dog and pony show and they will leave him be. The republicans will probably find something else to keep them busy to worry about weiner, possibly keeping tabs on palin.
It isn’t the immorality that bothers me. It’s that he’s an elected official and he knows that if this sort of thing came out he would be in serious trouble. He must also know that Twitter is about as private as Times Square. Then he went ahead and sent the pictures anyway. No brains. No judgment. Like Spitzer. Like a few other idiots whose private lives caught up with them.
I don’t care about his halachic status, his marital status, or even what his politics are. He hasn’t got the brains he was born with, and that’s not good for the people who elected him and certainly not for his political party. (And I’m a good Democrat, too.)

Just as a reminder, go out tomorrow and vote for H. Herskowitz. We need transparency in this town. Enough with giving every special interest group whatever they want. You want to do chessed, fine, with your money, not with the taxpayers money!
How ironic that Mrs. Anthony Wiener is a chief adviser to Mrs. Bill Hillary Clinton who is well qualified to console the jilted wife.
Members of the press are calling for his resignation including Joshua Green a political columnist with the Boston Globe. This might get ugly, fast, especially in light of the allegations made by at least 3 women who have either come forward or been named in this sordid affair.
Okay, so now that he’s leaving, who do you think should replace him?
Some of the names bandied about are Mark Weprin, Rory Lancman, Melinda Katz, and Eric Gioia. All of them are Queens people. There should be some Brooklyn representation!

Nope. One more Jewish baby could have been born instead of one more Muslim baby. That baby could have seen what a schmutz her father’s life is and done tshuva and had an ehrliche Yiddishe mishpocho.
Would I have rather seen Solomon D-ek or Sholam Weiss marry out? Nope, and for the same reason – their children can go in the exact opposite path of their fathers and probably will.
