    One of my posts last night earned me more than just a “topic closed” or an EDITED.

    I got a full blown removal.

    I know. But in this case, I went for the throat; here’s why:

    My gut made me suspect that post was a troll, looking to hock.

    Also, recieveing texts from someone you’re dating? Sounds too casual, or worse, entrapment.

    Plus, the word “bored” pulled the wrong lever, so off came the velvet gloves, and out came the 2×4 with the rusty nails.

    Caustic? Well, maybe.

    Ok, I’m in the Chill Room for the next 5 minutes 🙁

    How about a sub-category for bringing a thread screeching to a halt? It seems like many times I have posted and then no one posts after me – not sure if that’s good or bad!

    OK, I hear ya’.

    I thought you were giving mussar for not giving it a fair chance, and calling it off for a shallow reason. I agreed with you, but used the Penina/Chana analogy regarding your tone.

    I also agree that texting is “too casual” (I might actually use a stronger term).

    I did not suspect a troll, but you might be right; in fact, I wonder if the moderator who closed it suspected that as well.

    When you come out of the chill room, could you please bring me an ice cube? 🙂

    The other alarm was the fact that (if memory serves me right) it was the OPs first time on screen.

    Not the kind of topic / tone you want to use, when introducing yourself.

    Unless you’re looking for (re)action.

    No can do on the ice cube. That would mean a freezer, and I might be tempted to shove a chill mate inside, were they to pull the wrong lever.

    The Chill Room they built for me, all I have access to is Barney tapes and Mitzvah Menchies. Its part of the therapy to help me overcome my rage.

    i dont think i ever started a thread that was closed but cannot remember. what could you say that would make MOD 80 so upset already? he seems like a very nice chilled guy…(I think he mods from the chill room)

    Guys – the mods are cheating. My post should definitely have closed the thread – with possibility of my username being blocked – but they just didn’t let it through!!! AND THEY DIDN’T CLOSE THE THREAD!!!
