Chometz on motzei pesach!!!!

Yes, I agree. By me it’s well into Wednesday, and I havent had any Chometz yet…

Our pizza store didn’t have time to let the dough rise before raking in the dough!

I wasnt busy running for chometz at all last night… until someone brought hot pizza and fresh bread rolls into the house. When the smell began wafting around the house… Yum! It was too much to resist! Definitely NOT overrated. No way!

As a child of holocaust survivors our minhag was not to eat chometz till the following day chatzos. I still hold this minhag and in truth i am not a big chometz eater. Some of my children stick to it and some don’t. Of our new family members, one family has a minhag of making their own pizza on Motzei Yom Tov. Last night one of my sons wanted to treat the hard working family members to pizza. Although we declined he did mention that the line at the pizza shops were out the door. Yes, in my opinion it’s a little absurd ! One should try to have a little more self control!

For someone so busy, you seem to have posted an inordinate amount of posts motzei YT.

I didn’t say what I was busy with. Perhaps I was too busy posting to the CR to get chometz.

The Gra made havdalah on beer after Pesach to show that it was now permissible. Obviously there is something to eating chometz on Motzei Pesach.

i had a bagel and a pizza on Motzei pesach. How does that rate me?

I’ll be bringing matza pizza to the office on a semi-frequent basis until the matza runs out (some time before Shavuos, likely earlier this year). I have enjoyed some kitniyos today, however.

I didn’t eat chometz till one pm today. At night I was changing the kitchen back and in the morning I ate leftover pesach food. I guess I’m not enough of a zariz ;).

Eventually people will be proving how frum they are by not eating chometz except for 3 times a week on Shabbos, on the back porch over napkins that are then set afire at havdalah.

The upside is, no Pesach cleaning. But we’ll clean the entire house anyhow since that’s what we did in the alte heim. But in order to search for chometz, there has to be chometz. So once a year, we’ll bring in 10 vacuum-packed packets of chometz to hide (and make a list of where they’re hidden, of course). Just like we did in the alte heim.
