i think that there’s been a number of posters insulted lately. my guess is that it might coincide with other posters tiredness and crankiness due to the stress of cleaning and getting ready for yom tov. so could everyone who has been insulted recently be mochel those who have insulted them and could everyone who has insulted people ask for mechilah, and then we can be one happy family again.
though, i think this is going on in many people’s families too these days. 😉

i wish i did have such great middos. it does bother me when people hurt each other, and most of the time no one means to.
actually, i wouldn’t mind having moderators in my house blocking words i say when i’m over-stressed and over-tired.

November 1, 2011 7:12 pm at 7:12 pm #823835Shticky GuyParticipantA few days ago, one of the most well liked posters in the cr was insulted by being accused of being Joseph who is the ultimate troll and no-no on ywn. While we cannot be 100% certain that he is not Joseph, it is highly unlikely, and the fact is that he has not posted since. So who are the losers? We are. All of us. Including that poster himself.
We must all read our posts thru before sending them and make sure that we are not hurting anyone. Sharp digs lead to heartache. Lets keep the cr a happy place. Thank you.
November 1, 2011 9:45 pm at 9:45 pm #823836ZeesKiteParticipantHa! I just found this. Someone actually accused me too. So, in the words of our dear president of old, let me state:
I am not a crook!
(well did you believe him??)
November 1, 2011 10:36 pm at 10:36 pm #823837HaLeiViParticipantOh, I thought he said, “Your president is not a crook.”
November 4, 2011 6:05 am at 6:05 am #823838am yisrael chaiParticipantThank you very much for your kind words, Shticky.
I was called another name as well, which has since been edited out. I appreciated that the mod modded his own words publicly.
Torah usually does not say that the end justifies the means. So that even if there is a place for online security(and there is), the way it was done, and because of an opinion expressed, was not in line with Torah principles IMHO.
In addition, this experience showed me that we may not have our own opinions. And accusations can be thrown without supporting evidence.
Therefore, I did not feel this would work for me.
And, btw, the accusation was REALLY wrong.
At least I can say that I know now what it feels like to be disrespected.
I appreciate very much your support and other posters’ kind words as well.
Yasher koach to you.
November 4, 2011 1:34 pm at 1:34 pm #823839JotharMemberPlease see my new thread which, if implemented, will greatly reduce the accusations and greatly improve the trust of the cr.
