    I was just wondering if badchunim only cater to the chassidishe population since most of there jokes are about them….

    just wondering if there will be a litvisha badchunim….

    Badchanim make their parnassah primarily at the Mitzvah Tantz. That’s why you hire them, and that’s where they get the “tips”. The Litvishe, by and large, don’t make a Mitzvah Tantz, hence no real market for them.

    PBA: Rav Yankel Miller says that badchanus is simcha. Letzunis is strictly prohibited as brought down in Rabeinu YOna. He personally gears his badchanus towards being mesamei’ach yidden.
