Can anybody give me any help? My head is stuffed up. I can’t breathe through my nose and am partially deaf in both ears. Do you know of a medicine that helps?

Don’t you think you should visit a doctor? Until then you should probably go off dairy.

I tried to edit my post but it was too late, I’m not that type of doctor.

HaLeiVi~ for YEARS I believed that dairy products were mucous-forming & discouraged my family from them when sick, but recently read about a report that came out that claims that’s a fallacy.

for congestion I suggest: hot tea, hot chicken soup, nasal spray or drops, &/or a decongestant. when I had a runny nose recently, my daughter gave me some Nyquil (has an antihistimine)& it reallyy helped me, altho’ it made me drowsy. I’ve heard that zinc tablets may help, as well as Vitamin C from rosehips.

Someone once recommended eating radishes for congestion, also drinking pineapple juice.

Have you tried anything at all? I know stuff that works really well for colds etc. Its available in many flavours. I’ll list them alphabetically for your convenience. Try them in this order:

Aberlour, Balvenie, Cragganmore, Dalwhinnie, Edradour, Fettercairn, Glenfiddich, Highland Park, Isle of Jura, Kilchoman, Laphroaig, Macallan, North Port, Port Askaig, Royal Lochnagar, Speyburn, Tormore, Vat 69, William Grant.

IF THESE DONT WORK AFTER TAKING TWICE A DAY (BEFORE OR AFTER FOOD), PLEASE CALL 1-800 CHAYAVINISH

Oh Shticky, I was hoping it would deter me!! I am trying to stay off completely but I go to team meetings where the subjects are not on my caseload and I get SOOOOO bored. Thank you, thank you for the chizuk/mussar. My increased absence should be in your zchus! (Not sarcastic, I really mean it!)

…My increased absence should be in your zechus…

Oh no! I hope i’m not guilty of chasing ANYBODY away from YWN! I was only trying to be shticky! I retract what I said. To be mekayem syag lchochma shsika, dont stay away, just post quietly!!

Believe me, when you’re bored at a meeting with nothing to do, if its not possible to browse divrei torah sites or tefillos or tehillim etc then its far, far better to visit here at a frum, moderated site than to stam browse the net.

You didn’t chase anyone, I desperately need the chizuk to walk away. What you wrote about the meetings is exactly why I end up back again, reading posts. A shiur would require sound and concentration beyond what the posts require. And my kids are on at night so I read over their shoulders. But when I find myself turning on the computer because I am putting off writing a long report, well. . . that’s what I don’t want to be doing. But I really did choose that name hoping it would deter me, and I told my kids my name to deter me further from being on more often than I would allow for them. (I try very hard to always practice what I preach to them, even when nobody but Hashem is looking).

I davened for syata dishmaya just this morning so consider yourself a shaliach for good!!
