    how do you encourage yourself to eat healthy? im trying to eat good stuff and things, but when i saw there were a couple ruelach on the table, i just had to take one, then another… how do i tell myself to stop this??

    Picture yourself in the most beautiful dress you can hope to wear or the opposite, picture yourself at 200 lbs. Put that thought in your head each time you reach for something you shouldn’t. After a week of two of struggling against noshing, you will have less of a craving for these carbs and it will get easier.

    keep that kind of stuff out of the house if you know it is your downfall. if you must buy junk for other family members, buy what you don’t like.

    Here is a very useful diet tip.

    Always keep a box of Entenmann’s donuts on your desk. This way, whenever you are tempted to eat junk food, you’ll take a donut instead.

    If you feel like you have a chronic problem of being unable to stop eating, find an OA group near you–they have a website that lists all the meetings and you will be surprised how easy it is to find a frum group.

    Punish yourself if you eat that extra rugale it would be an extra five minutes on the treadmill or whatever exercise you do

    dont punish urself…just tell urself ull start ur diet tomorrow :))

    think to urself ‘am i really hungry?’ dont just eat stam, eat to live, not live to eat….usually ur not hungry, ur either stressed or anxious about something or its just emotional?!?!
