I just got accepted into both of these seminaries, and would appreciate any info anyone has on these two. I know about ateres, but realized that i dont know much about meohr. If you can tell me anything about either of them, or any differences or similarities, it would be well appreciated!!!! I am not asking which is better or worse, just the difference between the two, and any factors that would help me decide!
Thank you!

Popa thinks both of these are pretty much the same, so it doesn’t matter which one. You should go to Meor because it is closer to the number 2 bus.

Why would you apply to a seminary if you don’t know much about it?
If the answer is because your friends are going there- then why do you want to know about it now?
Aren’t sem applications expensive?
February 23, 2011 7:11 pm at 7:11 pm #743645pet peeveMemberfirst of all, mazal tov on your acceptances! how exciting 🙂
i recommend going to frumteens.com and doing a search on each of the sems. there is a ton of info on there, and lots of questions answered. if you have specific questions, then maybe people can answer you better.
i have no clue what popa is talking about, me’ohr is no where near the number 2 bus.

Now that a decision needs to be made you have to find out more about how good of a fit it really is. Sometimes a sem sounds great but you look at the girls coming out and see you have nothing in common with them, or vice versa.

That is right, you don’t, and ????? ??? ??? ???? ????
I am the seminary expert; if you don’t know, you should ask. If you do know, then don’t ask.
February 23, 2011 10:57 pm at 10:57 pm #743648candy613MemberThank you so much. I did research in which seminaries to apply to and i applied to these two because i felt both were great. I do know about both of them and have friends who are in both, but i just never dreamed that i would get accepted into both, and since i really like the sound of both schools, am having a very hard time deciding between the two. I guess i was just asking if anyone knew any other differences between the two that would help me more. I think the main thing are the girls though in both, and i think thats what i need to look into the most!
Thank you Papa i always knew you were the expert! 😉

February 23, 2011 11:59 pm at 11:59 pm #743649potpieMemberCongratulations on getting into Meohr! It’s extremely hard to get in. I recommend that you read the past seminary threads on Yeshiva World as they have a lot of information on Meohr. I would copy and paste it, but it’s simply too much.
Good luck in making a decision!
