Charles M Byner (D) was a US senator for IL from 1956-1988.
He is considered the worst senator in US history, and is infamously known for throwing food from the capitol cafeteria on the speaker’s podium to protest rising food prices.
He was defeated by Dick Durbin in the 1988 primary, after a fierce race which saw Byner launching attack ads which portrayed Durbin as a child eating whale.
He is running for mayor this year and is considered to be the frontrunner.
He’s the new mayor so live with it!

I have never heard of William Walls III, but Rahm won the primary anyway with a majority so there is no runoff.
