COUNTING OUR BLESSINGS.
February 17, 2011 1:25 am at 1:25 am #746953ZeesKiteParticipantLet me be posiach bhoda’ah. We Baruch HaShem have a very sweet infant, whenever (OK, a lot of times) I pick her up I thank HaKadosh Baruch Hu for that really undeserved cuddly present.
February 17, 2011 4:32 am at 4:32 am #746954aries2756ParticipantHashem allowed me to spend the last days of my mother’s life catering to her and caring for her. This is something that my siblings chose not to do because they did not want to change their plans for second days Succos. B”H I changed my plans and had my mother all to myself. Whether she was conscious or not, she was alive and she was MY mother who I had an opportunity to care for and give back to; to respect and to honor; to love and to daven for and do whatever I could to send her off in a loving, respectful and dignified manner. THIS was a gift to me from Hashem, one that was so grand and so gracious that words can’t even describe. My gratitude is beyond words.

March 6, 2011 6:24 am at 6:24 am #746958ZeesKiteParticipantWhy is it that only ‘issues’ get the most posts. I for one have A LOT to thank HaShem. Constantly. Forever. Do people think it’s corny to thank HaShem? (let’s get big numbers on this one)
March 6, 2011 6:54 am at 6:54 am #746959smile66MemberZeesKite – it’s possible that most people aren’t posting on this thread because when people thank Hashem they usually thank Him and not the YWN Coffee Room 🙂
Either way, here I go…
Hashem has given me LIFE, and a chance to keep getting mitzvos and do teshuva for my wrongdoings. I hope I can keep that in mind when I go about my daily life.
And if you think that’s corny and expected – we just had a tragic young death in my community, and it’s really had me thinking. Hashem is giving us life every second we’re here, we can’t waste it!! Life is precious. We have to use our time here and everything else that Hashem has given us, to do all the good we have the opportunity to do. Before it’s too late… because you never know…

I thought about that reason. However, I wanted to increase people’s awareness of the need AND benefit of thanking the Ribono Shel Olam constantly. And out loud, publicly too. ???? ???? ??, Here in the CR too. Why not give someone else the momentum, Ruach to do the same.
There’s a lot of negative vibe being exuded from posts here. Let’s start this positive one!
btw your piece is riveting!
