any body now anything intersting about street patrol officers
(i.e. salary, quota of tickets, years of training etc.)
What are you refering to – Traffic Patrol, or Auxilaries?
Somewhere a policeman dressed up as a regular person and another police man sat in the car while the “reg guy” kept on crossing the st so they could give tickets for not yielding to pedestrians.
Yup, they’re dressed in blue uniform.

mosherose, I don’t know if you’re right, but if you’re working for the government already, it’s not simply assur.
I know a frum police officer in Flatbush. He happens to be a great guy, – and the truth is, in general, I do NOT like cops.
There are some frum cops out there.
My friend became a detective. A cousin of mine was a street cop.
Maybe Jews shouldn’t do anything wrong and then there would be no problem of mesira?

a little history lesson…
I remember, going back to the mid-late ’60s,
the regular police in Israel did not even carry handguns
(let alone automatic rifles). All they carried was a metal rod about 18″ long.
Yeridas hadoros. They could never survive that way today.
To be a cop you must like and know how to care for dogs.
