I wish girls would feel more confident with their appearance. obviously any style that is over the top, way too long or wild looking is wrong, but I don’t understand why everybody has to have straight hair. You are who you are. Be the best that you can be.
If you love how you look with curly hair, go for it.

Oh brother – do we not have enough problems? If you have pretty hair that happens to be curly, LUCKY GIRL. If it is kinky or frizzy, maybe some guys do not like that look, and you can blow your hair out straighter. Let’s focus on real issues, not superficial ones. And whatever the style, fashion comes and goes. Shaitels can be bought in virtually style you want. So don’t worry too much about your hair, except to keep it neat, clean, and attractive in whatever style you wear.
Whats wrong with curly hair?? Girls change themselves so much nowadays the guys dont even know what theyre marrying. They wake up one morning and she didnt have time to blow her hair they have the shock of their lives. Like oomis said keep it neat and clean. Its a very big turnoff when a girls hair smells not clean.
As a guy, I’ll be pleasantly surprised to meet a girl who leaves her hair curly. Almost as happy as if she wasn’t wearing black.
I have curly hair and I got married. Well its more wavy-ish to be honest but still.
when i was single, a couple of months ago, I used to wear my hair curly and just make my bangs straight. I love this look.

I have curly hair, but it’s kind of frizzy too. So I blow it, and it comes out really nice, with height and style, not just straight. 🙂

the entire frum world is wearin strait cuz we live in an extremely cookie cutter society..(which is a lil sad.) straight hair only..wearing only black is the only way to look neat and classy.. (personally-so creepy and depressing and unfeminine!) Girls! a little personality!! twiggy- u r an individual person!!! u want the guy to know YOU,and hes gonna hafta live with YOU and YOUR hair for the rest of ur lives.. so who why duz it matter what the rest of the world looks like?! (i know.. it doesnt work that way in shidduchim..) anyways I would wear my hair strait mostly cuz its usually dressier and curly others..

what i wonder is there r so many mothers who dress up ther little angels in the most stunning expensive clothes that r COMLETELY BLACK!! down to ther shoes and bows in ther hair.. duz anyone else find that disturbing??

Talking about only wearing black….my sister attended a wedding last year March and decided that although it’s cold outside, it was technically spring and chose to wear a nice sage green dress…was she surprised to realize that she was THE ONLY ONE to be wearing a different color dress other than black!…she walked into a sea of black outfits. The ironic thing is that after each individual who is wearing black spent hours finding the perfect outfit with the little details…buttons, lace, flowers, ruffles….when you are all dressed in black, no one can see how special your outfit is bec. everyone looks the same. The Torah is sprinkled with many colors, Copper for the mishkan, Tchailes
for Tzitzis, different color stones for the Choshen Mishpat..etc.
No one is saying you should wear Glowing Orange, Bubble gum pink
or Lime Green. There are beautiful colors that are Basheiden
and compliment the persons skin tone and breathes a breath of fresh air to Tznius clothing other than the color Black.
as of black i love that color, as of curly, i won’t want my son “dating” a girl with curly hair (as if it depends on me!) but (and thats a big but) it’s all up to what the one above chose for me and all of us. good luck to all.

s2021: Agree with you. When did we loose our identity? I understand that RED is out of the question, but there are so many other beautiful colors to choose from. Black is o.k. every once in a while, but a lack of color is depressing. We are trying to peg everyone into a mold. It is not meant to be that way. It comes to a point that when you finally decide that enough is enough and you put another color on, the attention gets to be on you. Same thing with hair. Why would you want to look like every body else? Don’t be afraid to show the REAL you. There is only one YOU. Embrace yourself, looks, kochos, talents and all.

I would say black makes up 95% of my wardrobe… but hey, I like black! I wear dark nail polish and dark eye liner/eye shadow. But thats just me.

Right now I’m using Stila Smudge Pots in Jet Black for gel eye liner and for liquid I use Stila Stay All Day in Jet Black (its liquid but comes in a marker)

Personally, I don’t like the natural moosed curls when there consistent. If its more like gentle curls and not frizzy, it actually should look really good. Straight I find is easier based on my hair (basically straight). I have to work to make curls so its a different story.
Can we differentiate between curly hair and hair with curls? Because I like hair with curls (or waves, etc) but when I hear curly hair I get this image of not so long, curly hair sticking out in all directions (this is hereditary in my family but once the hair grows longer it hangs down quite nicely-boy you should have seen me before my upsherin!)

Just a tip, get black eye shadow and dab it on top of the gel when you are finished applying it, so that it doesnt get all over the place.

I’ll try it – I actually use just black (actually dark brownish) eye shadow now. It give a softer look.

Yup. Eye shadow as eye liner. Recommended to me by the MAC person lol.
