I wouldnt do it, but I think NONE! I havent revealed anything Im embarassed about.
If I dared revealing my name it would be a disaster. I’ve posted a lot recently on the mental illness thread. That’s the last thing I need people knowing about me!

however when my sister got engaged i went onto her only simchas page and left a really girly girl comment like totally freaking out that she was engaged OMG and i thought i was under a different name and when i hit the send button i saw the post go up under my name. That was probably the scarriest moment in my life. it wouldve completely ruined my reputation. BH i was able to delete the post

I don’t think anyone would know me here, but it seems that manyyy people know my husband.. not that they’d necessarily know that I’m his wife.
which reminds me: the other day we received a thank-you note from a chasana that was addressed & personally written to just my husband. I was veryy insulted! & said to my husband: “what do they think?! that you’re single or a widower, cv’s?!”
I’d have no problem identifying myself, but I don’t want to embarrass those that know me.

I don’t think anyone on here knows me or my family (fat chance, watch someone yes know my family at least) but either way I have no problem revealing my real name. It is yossi (or yosef yitzchok) and the z well that stands for ………. My last name (if you REALLY want to know I will tell you my last name)
I figure anything I can’t put my name to I probably shouldn’t say on the internet. (And yes that is my real name)

Why? You are afraid other people will know you? And then what? (I posted my name because I don’t feel any issue with people finding out who I am since I have a policy of if you don’t like my opinion, deal with it. I am not forcing anyone to accept my opinion this is what I think for myself)
And gimme a break you could have easily figured me out even without posting my name (we discussed this, remember) 😀

yossi z.- thanks for the welcome note. i dont usually post much at all but once in a while i might pop up randomly. ive been a member for about 5 months… and thanks again! =)
I don’t feel like I can post about issues with siblings or in laws or about raising kids if I think my brother or kids will read it. It’s not ‘secret’, but I wouldn’t have those talks with other adults with them in the room. Especially on threads regarding chinuch or major mess ups by their school system. I certainly would not have those talks in front of my children, (nobody should). If I could have anonymous screen name for ‘adult conversations’ and a different for ‘regular’ coffee breaks, I would do that.
So the nightmare would be . . . having acquaintances find out things that are better left unsaid unless anonymous. (Like the comments that start -‘One of my sisters hurt me very much yesterday. . .’ That’s fine as long as nobody can figure out who you are talking about)
