WHy not make the theme “simplicity?” You can start a trend.

Why dont you base the theme around your baby’s costume? For example if you dress him up as a Teddy Bear (I saw the most adorable costume online) then you can do the theme of Goldilocks and you can dress up as the three bears…

i would stick with somethng more pareve than cowboys and soldiers and m and m’s…. something u wouldnt be embarrassed to send them to yeshiva in..

why not bakers, chefs, – whte hats for all of you.. any food goes

girls nurses costumes are so cute and boys can be doctor- little boys love doctor sets…

i saw families that each kid picked a color and dressed up like that from head to toe.. (pink wig, shirt, skirt, nail polish, necklaces…)was cute and creative..

A few years ago I saw a guy pushing a wheelbarrow with his three babies(?) in it. They were dressed up as sunflowers and there was grass and foam around it.

    It was very cute!!

interesting idea, but we live in Miami and we’ll all probably melt to death before I even get drunk

    Make “Purim” your theme.

and what would we be dressed as (I don’t see this one working)

why not bakers, chefs, – whte hats for all of you.. any food goes

I was thinking of that but the only food that would fit for my kid is a gingerbread man (and like I said it’s hot around purim time) and he can’t be a chef b/c he’s going to take off the hat

in yeshiva u dont need costumes on purim u just get a bunch of random things and put them on makes life much easier

BUT for me its purim yr round so im always dressed up

You could all wear matching lifeguard t-shirts. Seriously, I didn’t mean anything different. *eyeroll*

Friend of mine once did a similar theme. For UPS, you wear all brown then get their logo from online and put it on an iron-on transfer. For the mishloach manos, get small boxes, make popcorn to use as the padding and then all you need to do is put a second min inside the popcorn. My friend made a small cake, but anything will work.

I once saw a grown man walking around on Purim in Israel (where many wear frocks only on Peasch, Shavuos & Succos) in his frock, tallis with a lulav and esrog in his hand. After many years I am always reminded of that man!
