Video HERE. The LAPD is on a heightened state of alert for possible terrorist activities against members of the Jewish community until the end of Pesach, NBC4 reported. In a prepared statement by the LAPD, there are no specific threats associated with the holiday, but the department will remain vigilant.Deputy Chief Mike Downing; LAPD’s Counter Terrorism Chief, has overseen the security plans that are in place and is very confident that his officers and the department covered all potential scenarios.
Possible targets include high-rise buildings, freeways, bridges, Los Angeles International Airport and the Port of Los Angeles, but also synagogues, Jewish Community Centers and other Jewish facilities.
