Most of Brooklyn, Queens and Bronx have havent been touched by plows. Greenfield went to the sanitation depot and there are many many trucks just sitting there. They say they dont have drivers. NYC people are at risk. People have died because EMS cant get through. I called the white house and they said that people should call after 9am 202-456-1414. Let the white house know it is a mutiny and that Mike Bloomberg is doing nothing about it. We need people to call. There is no better way to get back at Bloomberg. Let the White House call him to inquire. 202-456-1414

Department of Public Works problems are a local issue.

December 29, 2010 5:07 pm at 5:07 pm #722786charliehallParticipantActually most of the Bronx seems to have been plowed. We may have received less snow than the rest of the city.

He broke his vacation due the dire state of emergency I informed him NYC is experiencing. Obama is a true gentleman.
December 30, 2010 1:57 am at 1:57 am #722789Midwest2ParticipantWhy all the angst? New Yorkers wanted budget cuts and personnel reductions – they got budget cuts and personnel reductions. Now, surprise! There’s nobody to drive the snowplows. You get what you pay for, and if you don’t pay, you don’t get.
It also might help if people had stayed home, so the plows would be able to get through. All the photos I’ve seen of NY show cars littered all over the landscape, stuck in snowdrifts. If you don’t have snow tires, four-wheel drive or chains, for Pete’s sake stay off the roads when it’s blizzarding.
