Hi,
Going to be in Montreal in a couple of weeks.
Has anyone ever been? Are there any good kosher Restaurants
Any good family activities?

I’ve been there a few times. I went to the BioDome, which was nice. For restaurants, I remember going to a Chinese place that’s inside a strip mall. I also once went to a shawarma place there, but I don’t remember the name. There are also a few pizza shops. I remember the one I went to is named Pizza Pita. The pizza there is different than NYC style pizza – smaller slices, with a slightly different taste to the sauce. I think it was a lot sweeter.
You can go to mount royale , they have snow tubing, skating skiing, and sleighing. It’s not far.. just a couple of minutes away and its loads of fun!
I know of quite a few “good family activities” in Montreal.
Every time we go it is because of a “family activity”.
Simchos in the family and by Mechutanim, being with the Einiklich and their parents, spending quality time with a sibling.

Great bakeries, pizzas, restaraunts, site seeing.
Just bring warm clothing!
There are some great kosher Moroccan restaurants in Montreal. The city has two kashrut Vaads — one Ashkenazic and one Sefardic. The Moroccan restaurants are naturally Sefardic.
Take your family an hour north, go to a cross country ski area, get some lessons, and enjoy the best outdoor recreation ever invented. Great exercise, much less expensive, and safer than downhill skiing.
Mount tremblant is fantastic!! Fantastic! they have higher and very proffessional slopes!! I was there a year ago! We had the time of our life…
Dont forget to dress VERY warm, its biting cold out there. And, you’re out for a long time!
We were wearing 2 pairs socks under good boots..thermal pants, thermal underwear, on that regular clothing, Sweatshirt waterproof gloves,hat, hood shawls and we werent overdressed..
You bet I know Montreal! Like some of you mentioned, there’s the BioDome, sledding and snowtubing in several places (although most of the real major ones are an hour away from where the frum community lives) and plenty of beautiful malls. As for eateries, there’s Pizza Pita, Dairy King, Yakimono Sushi, La Grill, Ernie’s & Ellie’s among others…

The “Askenazi” is not really exclusively Ashkaenazi there are 2 Sfardi Rabanim on their Beth Din

The best skiing I’ve ever had was north of Montreal in 20 below zero weather. Perfect powder with not a hint of ice. And nobody else was on the trails. A great day to experience HaShem’s universe. Of course, I had the right winter equipment — don’t do this if you don’t know what you are doing.

“uptown” De Vimy is more of a mix. Somewhere between BP & Flatbush
