anyone know a website(s) to find reliable, reasonably priced tickets to israel?
November 24, 2010 6:33 pm at 6:33 pm #712070AinOhdMilvadoParticipantThere are no RELIABLE very “cheap” tickets.
Best tips are to avoid peak travel times, i.e. Jewish or goyish holidays, to avoid weekend travel, and in general to try to be flexible with dates.
The online travel websites like Orbitz, Expedia, and Travelocity (that are the best for domestic fares)are generally NOT as good for travel to Israel as a Jewish travel agency that specializes in Israel and knows when and where to get the best rates.

November 24, 2010 8:19 pm at 8:19 pm #712074BEST IMAParticipantIve found Kayak.com to be the best for tickets to Israel. I just found tickets yesterday for $819.00 round trip with just a 2 hour stopover. Sometimes you can find for $600.00 depending on when you’re traveling.

My family lives in Holland, and whenever we visit them, we use Air Berlin. Excellent service (regular service) for very cheap prices! They have new, big planes with excellent service and high frequencies to all corners of Germany.

I’ve heard of kayak and expedia, and just wanted to see if anyone else had some other tips. My original title of this page was “tickets to israel” i guess the mods added the “cheap” part. bestima, that is an awesome price, when did u book for? i checked for the beg of january and the price was around $1200.
No moderator added “cheap”.
November 24, 2010 9:28 pm at 9:28 pm #712077BEST IMAParticipantI booked for December i guess January is a more expensive time. My mom went 2 weeks ago she got tickets for in the 600’s

November 24, 2010 10:10 pm at 10:10 pm #712079AinOhdMilvadoParticipantRemember that from mid-December the goyim like to go to the “Holy Land” for xmas, and so the rates go up. Likewise for any holiday, high travel period.
I do understand and empathize with the desire for a low fare, but do put into your cheshbon the need for good security (and do NOT count on the TSA -even with their new electronic toys and heter to fondle you- to supply that good security. So… at the very least, beware of small airlines you never heard of.
November 25, 2010 4:22 am at 4:22 am #712080sms007MemberI booked with do all travel- they beat all prices, hands down! and cheaper than online to since they give you a discount so you book with them. btw el al doesn’t use those yucky scanners!!!!!!!!
