During Egypt’s military exercises on Sunday in Sinai, dubbed ‘Badr-2010’, Egyptian forces drilled a military incursion into enemy territory, i.e., Israel. Quoting the MENA news agency, reports state that choppers and armored forces took part in the operation, along with elite infantry and specialized units.
Despite the signing of the Camp David Agreement between Israel and Egypt in 1979, Egypt continues military exercises portraying Israel and the enemy. This reality has also resulted in objections from Jerusalem, but the Arab minhag continues, always viewing Israel as the enemy.
Part of the Camp David Agreement forbids Egypt from deploying major military forces in proximity to Israel in the Sinai area.
