How do people locate bikur cholim organizations for neighborhoods they don’t know?
Someone we know had to go to NYC for surgeries, at NYU Hospital for Joint Disease (E17th & 2nd Ave), and is currently there.
Another friend called two Bikur Cholims he knew in NY and they said it was out of their area.
How do we find folks? for the east village, I think?
This quite older gentleman has no family and we, his friends, are all 3 1/2 hours away (one way) making visiting a challenge. We call, but we would like to find a few folks to stop by.

In NYC, of all places, you should have no trouble at all finding Bikur Cholim.
Satmar Bikur Cholim, probably the largest Bikur Cholim in the US, serves all of Manhattan hospitals I believe, but surely NYU Hospital for Joint Disease.
