Dear US Jewry: Please Stand Up!

Open Letter to the US Jewish Community:

The time has come for the Jewish communities in America to stand up for their brethren in Judea, Samaria and East Jerusalem. The Jewish communities have two obligations concerning the anti-Semitic policies of the Obama administration. The first obligation is prevention and the second obligation is reaction.

In regard to the second obligation, the obligation to react, the Jewish communities have done very nicely. The leaders have set up terror victim funds, they have made solidarity rallies for the victims and for this they should be applauded. Even after 10,000 Jews were driven from their homes, synagogues, businesses and communities, Jewish organizations such as the OU, ran a mass fundraising campaign for the new refugees. When Sderot, Ashkalon and much of the southern region of Israel was under nonstop rocket fire, the major Jewish organizations ran missions and solidarity rallies. The leaders do an excellent job responding after the fact, but they never seem to be able to take a pre-emptive strike.

As President Obama gets ready to push for the division of Jerusalem, start protesting! Do not wait for your leaders, because they will not lead you. Here are just a few ideas to get you started. Organize your family and friends and start protesting in key public areas; Invite your congressman/women for a town hall meeting (it has worked with healthcare opponents); Write letters to newspapers and call into radio shows; Support the Homesh-Obama Hilltop; Organize communal prayer rallies.

There is still time for the Jewish communities of America to stop the coming catastrophe. Will the Jewish communities wait until the damage has been done? Will they wait until tens of thousands more Jews are refugees in their own land? Will they wait until the entire coastal plane has turned into one mega Sderot? Will they wait until Jerusalem and been divided and access to the Kotel and the Temple Mount cut off? According to reports Obama wants to accomplish all of the above by 2011. Please get up and act before it is too late!
